Fully Welded

Experience the difference of a fully welded rack – strength and quality you can trust!

We only use heavy duty steel, providing you with a durable, reliable, and functional solution for all your hauling needs.

Materials

We only use heavy duty steel to provide each rack with maximum strength and durability.

The construction truck rack is constructed with 2” OD 11-gauge round tubing and 1.25” OD 13-gauge round tubing. Any and all bending is accomplished via mandrel bending to maintain the tube's structural integrity and result in a smooth consistent bend.

Tie downs and footman loops are made with 3/8” thick solid steel rod material and are welded into place.

FAQs

  • Sterling truck racks are fully welded and constructed with heavy duty steel. We have tested the carrying strength of our standard truck rack up to 3,500 lbs. (Distributed load over the rear removable crossover bars). We would have tested it further, but we ran out of heavy stuff to put on it! However, please do not attempt to carry more weight than your truck can safely hold. If you plan to haul something super heavy, let us know!

  • Yes! Our truck racks can hold a ladder… and plywood sheets, lumber, pipes, garage doors, shovels, etc. The ladder hangers allow you to hang your ladder on the side of your rack, while keeping the rack available for all of your hauling needs!

  • Yes! We can install the truck rack for you at our location in Umatilla, FL. Just let us know you would like it to be installed when you order.

  • Our truck racks are fully welded, meaning that they are solid, one piece racks. There are not thousands of bolts holding each component together; they are instead permanently joined together with the power of melted metal. When we do have to use bolts—such as when we construct a rack in two parts for powder coating purposes—we utilize Grade 8 hardware. Grade 8 is highest strength bolts under the SAE J429 standard.
